Regear Thread
This is a link to the original “Extreme Novice Regear Thread” on JeepForum. This is the “where it all begain” link and sets the framing for Extreme Novice – tackling projects, not at the edge, but far beyond the boundary of my comfort level. It is Extreme, but it is awfully fun and I learn a lot from these Extreme Novice projects.
The Dark Math
This article develops the match describing the transfer of shaft angular velocity across u-joints where the axis of rotation crosses an angle. While the article is specific to transfer of angular velocity across drive shaft u-joints, it is the same math that applies to u-joints in any application.
