Stencils & Pencils
This is an article describing some of the match behind the numerical methods used to solve systems of PDE’s that describe many engineering systems. It is a way to generate finite difference stencils for approximating derivatives to an arbitrary accuracy and an arbitrary arrangement of points before or after the location of the derivative.
